The time has come for dNet to turn the lights off

If you are here reading this - a sincere and heartfelt thank you for visiting. We know that depression doesn’t keep business hours, and we want you to know that you are not alone. Even though our lights are off, we do this in the knowledge that there is light and life after and beyond dNet.

If you are seeking information, help and support, we know you can find it in some of the following places.

Crisis lines, 24/7: Emergencies - call Triple Zero (000)  |  Lifeline 13 11 14

Eheadspace, support for young people 12-25 years: 1800 650 890, 9am-1am, 7 days a week

Mensline, support for Australian men: 1300 78 99 78, 24/7

Qlife anonymous and free LGBTI peer support: 1800 184 527

Open Arms for Australian Defence Force veterans and their families: 1800 011 046

To our community

We are grateful for your support and contribution to our community of People Like Us. We feel privileged to have had the opportunity to give back to our community, to share our knowledge and connect People Like Us. We are pleased that there are now many other organisations that fill the gap that dNet once filled alone. We are encouraged that mental health and wellbeing is on the agenda, that stigma is slowly being torn down, and that there is so much conversation around empowerment and resilience. We thank the organisations that aligned and complemented our strategies and goals to empower people like us, Australians living with depression, to find solutions to the challenges of living with depression. We hope that you feel the opportunities for the future of mental wellbeing and wish you well on your journey.

To our donors

If you were a financial donor, thank you for your donations over the last few years. It helped us keep the lights on, and to try to push forward with our model of peer support - a service for people like us, by people like us.

We want you to know that our remaining funds have been donated to Mental Health First Aid.
